TIRUPATI: Hindupur MP, representing the ruling YSR Congress party, has squarely refuted charges of going on a nude video call with an unidentified woman and said the video which is a morphed one.
He said that the video is part of a political conspiracy of rivals to assassinate his character and said he was initiating legal proceedings against all those behind this conspiracy.
The alleged video involving the Hindupur MP stirred up a major political controversy in the state of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, a video call involving an unidentified woman and the Hindupur MP went viral in the social media and within moments, representatives of various political outfits called for the resignation of the ruling party MP.
However, Gorantla Madhav who himself had earlier worked as a policeman, was swift to refute the charges and came before the media with an explanation that the alleged video was morphed and that it was part of a political conspiracy to tarnish his image.
The Hindupur MP also went on to name a few individuals with allegiance to the Telugu Desam party, as involved in this conspiracy.
Gorantla Madhav said he was actually working at a gym and that particular video was morphed and misused with a malafide intention to defame him. He went on to warn the miscreants involved in this conspiracy of criminal action.
The Hindupur MP released his workout video taken at the gym to substantiate his claims.
“I have lodged a complaint with the cyber crime department as well as with Sri Sathya Sai district police wing to initiate action against those involved in this conspiracy. I will even go to the press council of India as some section of the media with allegiance to the principal opposition party tried to defame me using this morphed video which is not a real video. I will even file PILs in the high court and the Supreme court over the issue”, the Hindupur MP told TOI.
Gorantla Madhav alleged that Chinthakayala Vijay, Ponnuri Vamshi and Siva Krishna, with links to the Telugu Desam party were involved in this conspiracy and also went on to allege that former TDP minister C Ayyanna Patrudu’s son was also involved in this heinous act of trying to defame him using a morphed video.
Meanwhile, leaders of the Telugu desam party and other political outfits demanded the state government to launch a fair probe into the episode and take action against the Hindupur MP if the nude video call was found to be true.
