The Christmas break for the Marquette men’s basketball team just got a little longer.
The Golden Eagles’ game at St. John’s on Wednesday was canceled due to COVID-19 issues in the Red Storm’s program.
The Big East announced the cancellation Monday. Per the league’s policy, the teams will attempt to reschedule the game. If a makeup date cannot be found, then the game will be ruled a no contest.
MU (8-5, 0-2 Big East) has not played since a 78-70 loss to Connecticut at Fiserv Forum on Dec. 21. The Golden Eagles’ next scheduled game is against Creighton at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fiserv.
