A man was found dead after a fire broke out in a mobile home near Route 1 in Edison on Thursday morning, authorities said.
Firefighters arrived to find “significant smoke” still pouring from a trailer on Plainfield Avenue shortly before 10:30 a.m., Deputy Fire Chief Andy Toth said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified, pending family notification.
