A man was injured and had his mobile phone stolen during an assault in Donegal. 
He was attacked by two females and one male in the Ramelton Road area in the town on Thursday evening.
The victim had left the nearby bus station at around 9.30pm and was walking in the direction of the carpark just across the road when he was confronted by the group at the pedestrian crossing.
His mobile phone was stolen during the course of the incident and he had to receive medical attention for injuries he sustained.
However, the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Gardai said they were appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or to anyone who may have captured it on dashcam footage to make contact with gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.
“The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111,” gardaí added. “We are eager to progress the investigation and all information provided will be welcomed."
