Chicopee police say they arrested a man for pulling a gun during an altercation at the Chicopee Comp versus Chicopee High football game on Thursday.
The incident reportedly happened after an argument between two men became violent and police told Western Mass News that a suspect was in custody for striking a man with a gun.
Chicopee Police Officer Travis Odiorne did not immediately return a request for comment.
“There was a physical altercation between two male parties at the game. During the altercation, one of the male parties allegedly pulled a firearm from his waistband and struck the other person in the face with it,” Odiorne told the news outlet.
Chicopee police said no shots were fired during the game and that police are investigating the situation.
