Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Mains 2022 Session 1 Exam begins tomorrow, on June 23, 2022 for lakhs of students. With just a day left for this engineering entrance exam, National Testing Agency, NTA is all geared up to conduct the exam amid tight security. Students appearing for JEE Main 2022 exam must now check what’s allowed and what’s not for this year’s exam.
JEE Mains 2022 Session 1 exam would conclude on June 29, 2022. For the purpose of this exam, NTA also released the JEE Main admit card yesterday on jeemain.nta.nic.in. One of the most widely held exams, this time, JEE would be conducted in 501 cities in the country and 22 cities outside India.

While students are advised to download and print a copy of the JEE Mains admit card 2022, they must also not forget some other important things. Here is a brief list of what’s allowed and what’s not for this exam, including details on the dress code.

JEE Mains 2022 – What’s allowed, what’s not

  1. Candidates are not allowed to carry instruments, Geometry or Pencil box inside the exam hall, as per the official JEE Main Information Bulletin. In case they want to carry a pen or something, they may please get it checked at the exam centre and try to leave other things outside the room. Under any circumstances, candidates must comply with the rules of the exam centre.
  2. Candidates appearing for JEE Mains are not allowed to carry any Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables etc., inside the exam hall. In case someone carries it, again, please leave it outside the exam hall to avoid any trouble.
  3. Electronic gadgets of any form like Bluetooth, mobile phones, Microphone, calculator etc., are not allowed.
  4. Candidates can and must carry a recent passport sized photograph along with a valid photo Id proof. If and when asked, either of the documents must be presented.
  5. For JEE Mains, please avoid wearing any metallic or expensive items like jewellry. The dress code rules for the exam advise candidates to not wear them.
  6. Please wear light, comfortable clothing during the exam. Things like caps, mufflers etc., must be avoided.

After JEE Mains 2022 Session 1 exam concludes, NTA is expected to begin the preparations for JEE Main Session 2. Even for the latter, the rules defining what’s allowed and what’s not will largely remain the same. All candidates are advised to comply with the JEE Mains rules, especially for the exam centres.
