iQOO 9T is coming to India! Wait, you haven’t heard of a “T series” phone in the iQOO lineup, have you? That is because this is the start of new series in iQOO’s flagship series of smartphones for the country. iQOO had recently kickstarted the Neo series of smartphones with the iQOO Neo 6 and soon after that, we might be getting the “T- series” lineup of iQOO’s main flagships. We haven’t seen such a phone even in iQOO’s home market of China, which means this could be an India-specific model.
Based on the report from 91Mobiles, iQOO is planning to bring the iQOO 9T to India. The phone will add on to the already three-model lineup of the iQOO flagship series – iQOO 9 SE, iQOO 9, and iQOO 9 Pro. Some of the details have leaked beforehand, giving us a fair idea of what to expect. Being a performance smartphone, the iQOO 9T is getting a chipset upgrade.

The biggest upgrade on the iQOO 9T over the iQOO 9 is the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This is currently the fastest chipset in Qualcomm’s lineup and will make the iQOO 9T more powerful than the iQOO 9 Pro. It will also make it the first smartphone in India to use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The new chip promises gains in performance and power as well as thermal efficiency over the standard variant.
Rest of the features are expected to remain unchanged, which means the iQOO 9T could feature a familiar 120Hz AMOLED display and the same triple camera setup assisted by Gimbal stabilization. The iQOO 9T is also said to come with the same 120W fast wired charging system.
What remains to be seen is how iQOO prices the phone in its iQOO 9 series portfolio. The iQOO 9 Pro is likely to remain the ultimate flagship for the company, given its overall feature set. The iQOO 9T could sit above the iQOO 9 5G and could be pitched as an option to gamers seeking the ultimate the performance credentials. Note that this is a leak and hence, wait for iQOO to make an official announcement on this.
