The other five finalists of the show were Blesslee, Lakshmi Priya, Riyas Salim, Sooraj Thelakkad, and Dhanya Mary Varghese.
The show held its grand finale on July 3 and the show’s host Mohanlal handed the trophy and the cash prize of Rs 50 lakh to Dilsha Prasannan. As a participant of the show, the actress-dancer was catapulted into the limelight and became a crowd favorite, clearly making her the winner of the show.
Dilsha’s victory sets the record for a female contestant winning the reality show, in a much awaited first.
Overwhelmed by the number of fan votes, she recalled that she was apprehensive at the beginning of the show and wondered if she would survive the first 100 days of the show. She felt unsure of who she was going to be on the show, eventually deciding to just be herself. She thanked her fans for all their love and support, leading to the victory and landing the title of Bigg Boss Malayalam, season 4.
The first runner-up of the show, Blesslee, congratulated her for winning the title, and went on to pose for pictures together.
Even though she drew criticism for the ‘love triangle’ involving Robin and Blesslee, the contestants had given a befitting reply to all with her strong willpower.
The makers of the Bigg Boss reality show Malayalam had to cancel the last two seasons suddenly because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this time, the show was quite a success, for it garnered a lot of attention from viewers.
