According to the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, office memorandum, “It has been decided to declare the 14th’ April,2O22 (Thursday) as a closed holiday, on account of the birthday of Dr. BR Ambedkar, for all Central Government Offices, section 25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.”

It should be noted that each state’s bank holidays are different. Every year, the Reserve Bank of India, or RBI, compiles a list of bank holidays.

Some states will also observe bank holidays on April 15 on the occasion of Good Friday. Apart from these days, banks will also be closed on second and fourth Saturdays and on Sundays.
